it's summer time and eastside high school has decided to head off on a trip. where are they heading? well, let's just say it's a warm little island of lundy... located off the coast of devon, england. anyone in the district was welcome to attend, and it seems like near everyone was planning to. which just so happened to be the reason that flight tnw 34 was added to the list. on it, were around fifty or sixty students... and it was the only flight without teacher supervision.
maybe that was why the flight left nearly two hours later than the other plans on the trip. they were calling for large thunderstorms around one of that day over the atlantic ocean... but, the pilot thought that flight tnw 34 would be able to make it. he'd flown thousands of times from that very same new york city airport... why would this time be any different?
here was mistake number two -assuming that everything would just be okay. it was around two thirty in the afternoon when flight twn 34 reached the thunderstorms. they were even worse than predicted. but, being in the middle of the ocean didn't leave many options... the piolet just kept flying.
mistake number three had been made. it wasn't but ten minutes later when the radio fell dead. the airplane soon was hit by a bolt of lightening... and the rest? it was history. the next thing that anyone remembered was a large boom and waking up on a desserted island. no one knew where they were... but, one thing was for sure.
this wasn't lundy island.
where were they? no one was quite sure. but, this island seemed to be uncharted. cell phones, lap tops, radios... none of the conviences of home worked here. they were on their own. they were lost. all they had was each other... a flight to lundy turned into...
a flight to no where.
