So there's this guy at school and he's harassed a lot of my friends, and even kissed one of them against their will more than once and tried to rape them.
So finally they told the school, who got the police involved of course. Their solution: He got a ticket for sexual harassment and if he is ever reported doing it again he may or may not get jail time.
Is that enough?
I personally think that for the immediate problem, it most likely is. However it's not going to fix him, and if they want to avoid it happening over the rest of his high school career they ought to get him counselling or something....

wel, he is probably going to continue to do it, people like that should get an instant prison sentance.maybe even life so it teaches those jerks a lesson

Yeah. The only problem is he's only sixteen, so he can't get that much of a sentence.

Well I've obviously never met this guy so I can't really judge, but I know from personal experience that people like that tend to do it over again, especially if they feel like they won't get punished for it. Of course, I may be completely wrong and he'll never do it again  but it doesn't seem that likely. |

Then yeah, I doubt he is going to stop just because they gave him a ticket.
Kids like that need to be handled differently, he should at least go to a counselor or something like that to find out the problem.

Well, that kind of thing is totaly uncontrolable, you cant control people, if only. I have had that sort of crap happens to me every once and a while. But HISD is a bit better, he is in jail, and in counciling, he even tried to apologize, he was a nice guy before a few of his hormones kicked in, then he got a bit..........like that guy, i think they can change, but only sometimes...

xD there isnt much you can do, the hormones were created so that we could WANT to reproduce, contunieing our species. We are the only species though, that does "it" just for "fun" all other species mate to continue their families.

I have no problem with mating for fun but when you're not controlling yourself and doing things to people that don't appreciate that physical contact from you, it's wrong.

I don't understand why they do it. It's like, okay for one it's illegal. For another, it's not right to do that to someone, ethically. For yet another, is it really that hard to control yourself? Though I'm sure most (well, all ) who do that really don't care to control themself.
