Okay, if there's anything that people debate it's global warming. Personally, I'm not quite sure where I stand. I do belive that it is happing, but as for why, I can't say. There's so much 'research' that says both things that it's hard to make an informed decision you know? Basically, I'd say that I think it's happing, that CO2 emissions are having an averse affect, and that it would happen anyways. Meaning, that humans are in fact contributing, but that even if we weren't the temperature would naturally go up anyways. We just might be speeing it up a bit.

I don't understand why people don't believe in global warming... it's scientifically proven! *cough my dad cough* doesn't believe in it....

I do sort of believe in it because it IS getting warmer. But I think it is part of a natural cycle on Earth. Ice Age -> What we had after Ice Age (Before Now) -> "Global Warming" (This century) Soo the cycle will continue to another Ice Age once the affects of the warmth start.
But you say : it's warm! What's all this crap about an Ice Age? Well, is is scientifically proven that the warming climate will have an effect on the ocean currents. These currents will sweep across coastal land along the USA and Canada as well as most of Central America. But these currents will be changed -> they will be cold and will freeze into ice. Thus plunging a good chunk of the world into an Ice Age. The effects won't be done there an will continue into Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

yeah, I believe it's a natural cycle, but I mean some people don't believe it's happening at all. Which I think is entirely ridiculous. XD
Your post reminds me of "The Day After Tomorrow"

I'm am not at all worried about global warming, like you said, it's just a cycle, and I heard that it's actually cooling down. Now, I don't know if that's really true, but it's really not that much of an issue.
I mean yeah, the world's growing, and with it buildings are heating up the place, but not enough to kill it. I honestly don't believe humans could destroy the world. I'm not saying go out and trash the place, and that we should certainly try to keep it clean, so that we have a pleasant place to live. But I'm not worried at all about it.

Now I have The World at Large stuck in my head... xD (It goes "an ice age heat wave can't complain")
Anyways, I think that it is part of a natural cycle as well. But I mean, for the health of the world in general and the other species that live on it we should try to conserve more resources and recylce and work to replinish lost habitat and all that stuff. I mean, even if we don't do it for the other species and do it for ourselves, forests are nice, relaxing places and I don't want to see them all slashed and burned to make way for buildings and farm land that ruins the soil.

It probably won't even affect me that much within my lifetime.

True but we have to think of the future and what would happen to our children and grand children, hopefully they're better people than how the people of the world are today

Good news for my kids- I don't plan on having them. Nah, I know- I'm just not personally worried about it.

It's difficult to be greena nd not waste electricity and water and everything. I mean, I guess I could make more of an effort than I do but I'm lazy. I do recycle a lot though so that's good.
I know! I could turn into a hippy! ...a hippy that bathes regularly and wears deodorant anyways.

Wasting water is so hard, because sometimes you just want to lay there in the tub. Or sometimes it's not even your fault because your town doesn't recycle cirtain kinds of plastic. (Which is stupid)

I know, I hate how they only recycle one and two where I live. I think they should recycle all kinds. *glares at town*

Another thing that bothers me is when people are too lazy to walk to get the mail. Like one of my neighbors will actually DRIVE down their 30 foot driveway every day to get the mail.

Are you serious? Usually my dad gets it in the car but that's because he gets it when he's coming in from work so he just stops at the top of the driveway when he's pulling in. But if we're home when it comes someone walks and gets it.
